Graston Technique® (GT) Therapy

Graston Technique® is a patented instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization technique designed to mobilize, reduce and reorganize fibrotic adhesions in the neuromusculoskeletal system.  The technique enhances the clinician's ability to detect adhesions, scar tissue or restrictions in the affected areas by use of six hand held stainless steel instruments.  Trained clinicians utilize these instruments to brush over and "catch" on fibrotic tissue, which immediately identifies the areas of restriction.
Once the tissue has been identified, the instruments are used to break up the scar tissue so it can be absorbed by the body.

Scar tissue limits range of motion, and in many instances causes pain, which prevents you from functioning as you did before the injury.

Treatment with Graston Technique® Therapy will in turn:
  • Decrease overall time of treatment
  • Foster faster rehabilitation/recovery
  • Reduce need for anti-inflammatory medication
  • Resolve chronic conditions
  • Continue to engage in everyday activities
While enhancing the clinician's ability to detect adhesions and restrictions, Graston Technique® has been clinically proven to achieve quicker and better outcomes in treating both acute and chronic conditions, including, but not exclusive to:
  • Neck Sprain/Strain
  • Back Sprain/Strain
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (wrist pain)
  • Plantar Fasciitis (foot pain)
  • Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
  • Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer's Elbow
  • Patellofemoral Disorders (Knee Pain)
  • Achilles Tendonitis (Ankle Pain)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Trigger Finger
  • Shin Splints
