Dr. Newsha H. Kashani, DC, Hon. BSc
Clinic Director
Chiropractor, Acupuncture, and Graston Technique Provider

Dr. Newsha H. Kashani received her undergraduate training at McMaster University, where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Life Sciences. She then went on to complete an additional four years of Chiropractic training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, where she graduated from in 2008 with clinic honours. Dr. Kashani is also certified in Clinical Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Council of Ontario and is a certified Graston Technique Provider.

Dr. Kashani has extensive experience with working in a multidisciplinary clinical setting, and is an active member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. She also pursues her studies through continuing education courses in a variety of topics including prenatal care, clinical nutrition, custom orthotics, medical gradient hosiery, radiology, and technique advancement.

Betsy Haghsheno, Hon. BA

Clinic Director
ND Candidate

After completing an Honours degree in Community Health Sciences from Brock University, Betsy's passion to work in the field of health lead her to enroll at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). At CCNM she gained first-class knowledge and training and graduated in 2009.

During her 12 month internship, she had a chance to gain hands on experience in helping her patients both at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and working with low income families at Queen West Community Health Centre. During this time she also obtained additional training and certification in women's health issues and fertility. In addition to the clinical acupuncture she is trained in, she also pursued supplementary training in facial rejuvenation and cosmetic acupuncture.

Dr. Maranda Vanderbeek, DC, Hon. BSc

Dr. Maranda Vanderbeek has always had a passion for health and wellness. Her fascination with the human body led her to attended McMaster University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Honours Kinesiology degree. Dr. Vanderbeek continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Dr. Vanderbeek is an evidence-based chiropractor who focuses on developing treatment plans that address her patients’ individual needs and goals. She utilizes a combination of chiropractic manipulation/mobilization, myofascial release therapy, rehabilitation, and patient education in her treatment plans.

Dr. Vanderbeek has a special interest in working with women during and after pregnancy, as well as with infants and children.

When not practicing, Dr. Vanderbeek enjoys exploring her city of Toronto, listening to true-crime podcasts and taking yoga and dance classes.

Lara Spector, Hon. BSc, ND
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

Dr. Lara Spector is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a focus on motivating and empowering her patients to create balance in all aspects of their health. She is passionate about helping people achieve wellness by addressing the root cause of their imbalance, blending modern, scientific knowledge with natural forms of medicine. It is important to Lara that her patients feel heard and understood and this informs every aspect of their treatment. She has maintained a general family practice and has special interests in women’s health and fertility, digestive disorders, skin disease and mental/emotional imbalance.

Dr. Lara holds an Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and subsequently completed her four-year naturopathic medical studies at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia. She completed clinical internships at the Boucher Naturopathic Clinic, the Family Naturopathic Clinic and Positive Living BC. She is a member of the Ontario Associated of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and is licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). Dr. Lara is also an instructor at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto. In her spare time she enjoys running, practicing yoga and spending time with her dog, friends and family.

Alexandra Baeva, ND
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

Alexandra is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor, practising in Mississauga, ON. She received her post-graduate degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and completed a 12-month clinical internship in clinics in Toronto, Brampton and North York. She is a member of the Ontario Associated of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and is licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). Through further training and personal interest Alexandra became focused on digestive concerns, hormones and women’s health (fertility/PMS/menopause), endocrine/thyroid health, autoimmunity and detoxification.

Alexandra is a meditation and yoga enthusiast and believes that true health lies in the balance of physical and mental-emotional aspects of life. Outside of work she enjoys spending time in nature – hiking, biking and traveling. She believes that maintaining a healthy balance between work and play is essential for true well-being. Alexandra uses most recent scientific research and traditional holistic wisdom, so that the patient gets the best of both worlds. She tailors her treatment protocols to consider every person’s unique story and is passionate about educating people and providing tools they need to make informed health decisions for themselves and their family.

Thu Dang, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Thu graduated from Humber College for her diploma in Massage Therapy. She is experienced with Swedish massage therapy, facial mobilization therapy, myofascial triggerpoint therapy, deep tissue massage therapy, pregnancy and post-pregnancy massage therapy and lymph drainage therapy. Furthermore, Thu is continuing to learn additional skills that will be helpful to her practice.

Thu enjoys going to the gym, trying new activities, and playing with her dog. She is outgoing, easy to talk to and passionate about massage therapy’s role in healthcare. With her happy, positive personality, Thu aims to improve every client’s overall health and life.

Sabrina Coles, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Sabrina graduated from Kikkawa College in 2008 for her diploma in Massage Therapy. She has since been working with the goal to improve the daily life of clients by helping them to destress and relax.

Her treatments focus on the relaxation aspect of therapeutic massage, targeting the upper back, neck and shoulders where most tend to carry their stress. She is also able to provide deep tissue massage for tenser muscles as well as prenatal massage for all three trimesters. With her happy and positive personality, Sabrina aims to improve every client’s overall health and well-being.

Heechan Lee
Licensed Acupuncturist

Heechan Lee graduated with honours from SSC Acupuncture Institute in the Acupuncture program and Traditional Chinese Medicine Program. He is currently a registered Acupuncturist and an active member of CTCMPAO, College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturists in Ontario. He is also currently working towards in becoming a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner.

He has special interest in treating pain of all types, infertility, sleep difficulties/issues, stress management and digestive issues. Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture can treat and relieve many more complications such as but not limited to common cold, fever, cough, asthma, wheezing, headaches, migraines, spontaneous sweating, night sweating, palpitations, dizziness, vertigo, anxiety, depression, weakness/fatigue, menopausal signs and symptoms, menstrual signs and symptoms, numbness, jaundice, poor appetite, IBS, diarrhea, constipation and edema.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), diseases/illnesses/pain often may be due to imbalances in the body. Due to these imbalances the body produces certain and specific signs and symptoms. Sophia Zheng, RD

Registered Dietitian

Sophia graduated from McGill University dietetics program, and is a member of Dietitians of Canada, College of Dietitians of Ontario, and Canadian Diabetes Association. It is very important for her to give clients the most accurate and realistic suggestions. She is extremely passionate about food, nutrition, and health, and always base her knowledge on the best scientific evidence.

Sophia is a believer of client-centered care. She takes the time to carefully listen to your needs and very likely, struggles. Throughout the meetings, you will work towards a personalized 'live-it plan', a meal and exercise plan so easy to follow that will gradually become your habit.

Whether you want to lose weight, manage a medical condition, or simply learn about healthy eating, Sophia is the person to go to. Behaviour change can be challenging, but you can count on her to make it a smoother process.

Ashley J. Kreze, M.A., OACCPP

Clinical Counsellor and Life Coach

Ms. Ashley J. Kreze studied at Laurentian University in Sudbury, and continued to study a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, graduating with honours. She is a General member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists, (OACCPP) and her work has touched the lives of clients from all over.

Ashley practices in Mississauga, under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate, who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. With close to 5 years experience, Ashley has a strong commitment to working with people seeking fuller, more passionate and more meaningful lives. She is an easy going, non-judgmental, and empathic therapist.

Ashley's current experience includes working with individuals and couples, helping them reduce stress and anxiety, improve communications and intimacy, work through life transitions, boost self-esteem and life potential, to name a few. Additionally, Ashley's expertise is with children with autism spectrum disorders. Her experience with Leadership Managemenet International, Canada includes facilitating and coaching behaviour and attitude change with Young Professionals.

Delrene Fernando
Administrative Staff

Delrene is currently a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto with a major in biological sciences. By the end of the year she is determined to continue her science career with a diploma in Holistic Nutrition as well as a bachelors degree in Dietetics. She is also very interested in fitness, and spends most of her free time with a strict workout regimen along with a healthy meal plan. In her spare time Delrene is fond of the makeup industry, and is a self taught makeup artist for her friends and family.

Isabella Galifi
Administrative Staff

Isabella is currently a post graduate student from the University of Toronto, where she received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Health and Disease as well as Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She intends to pursue a career in the field of science and work in a hospital setting. She is also incredibly interested in animal physiology and preventative medicine. In her spare time Isabella enjoys volunteering at an animal shelter. She also loves to read, adventure to new places, and spend quality time with the people she loves most.

Megan Kampouris
Administrative Staff

Megan is currently an undergraduate student from York University, where she is majoring in English and obtaining a bilingual certificate in French. She is interested in pursuing a career in the administrative/business field, but is also considering becoming an elementary school teacher.

Megan is fascinated by the subject of psychology because she enjoys learning how the mind affects peoples behaviour the way it does and why we feel the emotions we do.

She intends to be more involved with helping children and other individuals in our society.

She enjoys, In her spare time, to take long drives to the country, taking introspective walks and watching Bollywood movies.
